The Shipping & Inventory Associate works under the Wine Pickup Lead to ensure that shipment orders are executed properly, with any arising issues dealt with in a timely manner and all communication internally and externally handled with professional, open and solution-focused dialogue.
Additionally, this role will assist with inventory counts at all locations, with a keen eye for detail and goal of reducing variances where applicable.
They will continually work alongside the Will Call team to ensure order fulfillment from multiple sources and manage consumer expectations regarding product reception.
Core Position Expectations:
Shipping & Order Fulfilment o Handle all in-house shipping requests of wine orders, merchandise, wine club releases and marketing or executive sample requests in an accurate and timely manner o Assist with club shipment quality control checks at our off-site fulfilment warehouse o Spearhead our returned package program by regularly receiving and re-shipping packages as needed o Own the process of managing shipping reroutes, address changes, recalls and call tags o Assist DTC team and customers with inquiries such as shipping rates, order ETAs, weather holds and state compliance queries o Keep par-level inventory of on-site shipping materials Inventory o Assist the Wine Pickup Lead on coordinating & reconciling all DTC wine and merchandise inventory movements between retail locations and fulfilment warehouses o Perform monthly physical inventory counts at all locations as needed and perform spot counts when necessary o Support the Inventory and Logistics Manger with incoming samples requests for various events, promotions, media samples, and executive team needs Will Call o Work alongside Wine Pick-Up staff to fulfil and QC orders placed through our website and outreach program o Stage wine at pre-determined locations for daily service, events, pickups o Work with Wine Pickup Lead on monthly audit of open orders & execute campaign to close open orders and initiate pickups or ship orders to drive revenue recognition o Assist the Wine Pick-Up team with order fulfilment during peak event days o Ensure that all wine storage areas & wine pickup area organized and clean Requirements and
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree:
Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business focus preferred.
1-3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Inventory, or logistics.
Flexible schedule that can include weekends, holidays, and evening shifts as needed.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and delegate tasks as appropriate.
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of an organization.
Communicate effectively using open, professional dialogue and solution focused communication.
Demonstrated ability to research and resolve problems, including data mining and analysis.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task and adjust priorities to meet deadlines on short notice.
Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office, with strong emphasis on Excel.
