We are seeking a Communication Coordinator for our beautiful Dayton, Oregon nursery.
As Communication Coordinator some of your responsibilities will include responding to and acting upon incoming phone calls, greeting visitors, assisting with events, and providing administrative support to various departments all in a friendly and professional manner.
What You'll Do You'll Answer and forward phone calls to the appropriate party.
Greet all customers, visitors, and guests coming to the nursery.
Support sales and HR with administrative tasks.
Maintain contact lists for all nursery departments.
Help with various company events.
Perform various clerical tasks as needed to support the smooth operation of the office.
Apply and model the principles of Monrovia Nursery Quality (MNQ) in all administrative activities.
Who You Are You Have excellent people skills and can interact and communicate professionally and effectively in person, on the phone, and in writing.
Have excellent organizational skills.
Ideally have at least 2 years of experience in a professional office setting.
Preferably are bilingual in Spanish and English.
Are open to feedback and looking to learn.
Have good math and computer skills and are proficient in Excel.
Can work Monday to Friday from 7:
30am to 4pm; and Saturdays from 7:
30am to 2:
30pm on occasion during our busy spring season.
Have a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record so you can drive around the nursery as needed.
Are able to maneuver around the office and nursery, work on a computer and with a telephone, and can lift up to 35 pounds, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Can work in a team environment with a diverse work force and serve as a positive influence.
Are responsible, report to work daily and on time, and hold yourself accountable for timeliness in completing projects and meeting goals.
Accomplish work with minimum supervision, working independently in decision making.
Can work in a safe manner; adhere to all workplace and safety policies and report unsafe conditions.
